Session-6
🌟 Sixth Session – Stepping into the Interview Zone
The sixth session of the PESE Lab shifted our focus toward a crucial real-world skill — facing interviews with confidence and clarity. It was designed to simulate the professional atmosphere of interviews while helping us prepare thoroughly for what lies ahead in our career paths.
At the beginning of the session, our ma'am instructed us to prepare a set of common interview questions and their ideal answers. This included frequently asked questions like “Tell me about yourself,” “What are your strengths and weaknesses?”, “Where do you see yourself in five years?”, and many others.
Once the preparation phase was done, students were individually asked a variety of interview questions, and they were expected to respond as if they were in a real interview setting. This helped in enhancing our spontaneity, communication skills, body language, and confidence. Each response was followed by subtle feedback and guidance from the teacher to improve our answering technique, vocabulary, and tone.
To further deepen the understanding, we were divided into small groups of around 10 students. These groups served as discussion circles where we practiced asking and answering questions amongst ourselves.
This session was not only about preparing answers but about understanding how to present ourselves professionally, handle pressure, and build the presence of mind needed in real interview scenarios.
